My Path
A Journey Shaped by Two African Traditions
Professor Rafik's path into the healing arts was not chosen — it was recognised. Raised in East Africa within a family whose elders carried generations of ancestral spiritual knowledge, he began his formation under the guidance of a traditional priest who saw in him gifts that required cultivation, not teaching. What followed was not an education in the conventional sense. It was an initiation.
In his pursuit of deeper mastery, Professor Rafik made the significant decision to travel south — spending over five years in Southern Africa, living and learning among priests from tribes in the Southern part of the continent. Under the mentorship of traditional elders from these great healing lineages, he was exposed to practices and spiritual technologies that have no equivalent in the Western world: the reading of ancestral bones, the interpretation of spirit possession, and the performing of deep cleansing ceremonies that clear not just an individual but the environment they inhabit.
To this African foundation, Professor Rafik also wove threads from the Indian and Asian schools of spiritual wisdom — studying astrology as a map of a soul's journey and incorporating sacred card reading as a precise instrument for accessing the spirit's current truth. These practices, blended with the depth of his African training, give his consultations a rare combination of grounded ancestral power and structured spiritual clarity.
